Job Summary:

Vertex Iberia is currently seeking a talented and curious individual to join our Market Access & Pricing Spanish team directly reporting into the Director of Market Access. The opportunity is located in our offices in Madrid. As Market Access & Pricing Intern, you will have the opportunity to work side by side with the rest of the Market Access team and with other partners within the organization such as Medical Affairs, HEOR and commercial. You will be able to learn all about the Market Access function, the role Market Access plays within the organization and how that relates to the Spanish marketplace while actively contributing on the process of bringing innovative therapies to the country. In this internship, you will have the opportunity to gain hands on Market Access experience, expand your network and grow your project management, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to the development, preparation and submission of price and reimbursement dossiers required by national/regional/hospital payers and health decision-makers
  • Leverages, analyzes and customizes health economic ad clinical data into simple compelling value messages for payers, regulators, and policy-makers to support price and access activities
  • Supports in the coordination with cross-functional teams regarding the direction of local, regional or national-level price and access opportunities and mitigation of potential risks
  • Plays a key role in the public purchasing processes (tenders) in collaboration with the regional access and commercial teams
  • Helps in the monitoring of key performance indicators related to Market Access activities and keeps metric source databases updated

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in life sciences
  • Excellent business English, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint are a must)
  • Analytical and organizational skills

In this Hybrid-Eligible role, you can choose to be designated as: 
1.    Hybrid: work remotely up to two days per week; or select
2.    On-Site: work five days per week on-site with ad hoc flexibility.
