This team focuses on our most critical and strategic cross-company projects, ranging from overall company strategy to owning key strategic projects in partnership with senior-most leaders across Zillow Group.

About the role

The Director, Business Operations will serve as a “GM'' for hire, diving into a wide array of problems that drive impact for the business across sales, operations, product, go-to-market, and analytics. This position requires a visionary and results-driven individual with a demonstrated track record of leading teams that have successfully scaled operationally complex businesses. The Director will play an integral role in setting the company’s strategic direction while collaborating with cross-functional teams to scale our delivery of a seamless home financing experience.

  • Lead the development and execution of high-impact projects to drive growth and optimization of ZHL’s Digital and Premier Agent channels

  • Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to accelerate progress, solve hard scaling initiatives, and incubate new programs and functions

  • Obsess over our top company metrics, helping to surface and drive initiatives that inform our overall strategy and move the needle for ZHL and our customers

  • Own and be accountable for driving business results and lead business review meetings with senior leaders on a weekly basis

  • Define business requirements for Product related to the programs you manage and drive trade-off decisions between Product, Ops, Sales

  • Lead cross-functional planning to support rhythm of business meetings and quarterly company goal & strategy setting

  • Track projects, timelines and commitments on internal projects and related deliverables

  • Build and lead a high performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement and accountability
