Position: Software Engineer III

Job Location: 640 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086

Duties: Design an application 'Topic Page and Keyword Management' that gives insights to suppliers about the most searched products and keywords. Build prototypes and mockups for applications by reviewing project requirements. Perform code reviews and ensure applications are scalable and follow W3C standards for Internationalization and Accessibility. Assist a small group of two to three engineers, including offshore associates, for assigned engineering projects by providing pertinent documents, directions, examples, and timeline. Provide support to the business by responding to user questions, concerns, and issues (for example, technical feasibility, implementation strategies); researching and identifying needed solutions; determining implementation designs; providing guidance regarding implications of new and enhanced systems; identifying short and long-term solutions. Work on small to large-sized complex projects by reviewing project requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions; researching and identifying alternative solutions; determining needed solution based on return on investment and value add to the business; gathering requested information (for example, design documents, product requirements, wireframes). Troubleshoot business and production issues by gathering information (for example, issue, impact, criticality) and performing root cause analysis to reduce future issues. Develop web applications for search engine optimization (SEO) team that gives insights to suppliers about the most searched products and brands. Work on small to medium-sized projects to come up with high level design by partnering with the product management, project management, business, and user experience teams.

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology and Management, or a related field. Position does not require specific years of experience but requires listed skills.

Skills required: Experience developing reusable modules for applications using web technologies including JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3. Experience coding scalable and responsive applications for customer facing high traffic websites using modern frontend frameworks including React, NextJS, and SAP UI5. Experience designing and prototyping user-friendly screens that align with accessibility guidelines using Figma and Mockito. Experience implementing internationalization of user interface (UI) experience so that it can be viewed in different languages. Experience developing and integrating backend RESTful APIs using either OData or NodeJS. Experience driving a frontend project from requirement gathering phase to production including collaborating with different stakeholders, designing mocks, prototyping solutions, and coding. Experience performing code reviews to ensure World Wide Web Consortium standards are followed throughout the website. Experience creating technical documentation and user guides for user interface development. Experience implementing MVC architectural pattern and ensuring Model, View and Controller based separation of code. Experience using algorithms and data structures including List, Maps, Trees, and Heaps. Experience working with data models including JSON, XML, and SOAP. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $172,931/Year to $234,000/Year.  Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.   Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
