What You Will Do:

  •  Experienced in the efficient operations of Fork Truck.
  • Has knowledge of speeds, grades, load capacity and understands mechanics of same.
  • Sees that materials are properly stacked or tiered, and is safety conscious. Keeps hoppers and trash cans empty of trash in all departments.
  • Moves material to and from various departments as needed (couplings, wood, dividers, powder, etc…).
  • Does not neglect or abuse any vehicle assigned and reports any needed repairs to supervisor.
  • Maintains care for fork truck including minor maintenance and knowledge of fuel storage and use.
  • Must be familiar with all raw and finished material used in the manufacturing of rod and couplings.
  • Delivers above shipments to proper areas.
  • When necessary, operates Fork Truck for receiving and making deliveries of incoming materials and supplies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two year technical degree or equivalent education and/or experience. Valid driver's license in state of residence required.

Physical Demands:  

  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs regularly, and 100 lbs occasionally.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Employee is required to occasionally walk in customer field locations which may include inclines, uneven surfaces, and a variety of weather conditions.
  • Employee must be able to regularly bend, stoop, crawl, lay down, twist and push.
  • Employee is required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment including but not limited to  shoes/boots, hard hats, or respirators.
