The Role: Software Engineer

The Team:

The development team is based in Stockholm and consists of 22 highly skilled individuals with diverse backgrounds, each engineer playing their unique part in serving our global customer base. Everyone on the team shares the responsibility of meeting all functional and non-functional requirements, and you’ll find that the team decisions cover not only business-related improvements but also a wide variety of technical topics such as architectural styles, Kubernetes operators, deployment pipelines, data locality strategies, observability solutions, frontend frameworks and much much more. The team is responsible for a complex system requiring a lot of collaboration within the team and with other parts of the technology organisation and we value learning from each other in order to continuously improve ourselves and the user experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively contribute to the development and architecture of the system to meet new and changing business needs
  • Ensure that non-functional requirements are established and met
  • Be part of the team taking care of the overall system health
  • Engage in continuous learning to keep up with industry best practices

What We’re Looking For:

  • A master’s degree in computer science or a similar field
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent communication skills (fluency in English is a must)
  • A bold and humble team player  
  • A desire to work in a modern tech stack including, but not limited to Python, Elm, NoSQL/SQL databases, Docker and Kubernetes
  • Business mindedness and a solution-oriented mindset
  • An aptitude and willingness to improve yourself, others around you and our ways of working.

We also prefer if you have one or more of the following:

  • An interest in financial markets
  • A passion for technology
