JOB DESCRIPTION

Alliance Partnership - Business Line Director (BLD) – Small Business Products

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer for Green Dot’s Tax Division (SBTPG), the BLD is responsible for overseeing the accomplishment of the organization’s business goals through product delivery and performance with strategic business partners. The BLD ensures products meet client and customer expectations while managing processes that support these products.  This includes work to increase business revenue, identify and develop new business opportunities, and expand market share and brand presence.  The BLD is responsible for continually improving existing products and developing go-to-market strategies for new products. They are also expected to continually search for new product and partnership opportunities. The BLD is responsible for establishing effective policies, goals, and key performance metrics, overseeing financial and budgetary activities, identifying ways to minimize costs, promoting efficient operations, and increasing financial performance.  They are also expected to participate in contract negotiations and new business proposals with clients and suppliers. 

This position will focus on but is not limited to, products and services for SBTPG’s 30,000 + currently active small business tax preparer market, immediately addressable market share growth, and adjacent small business market opportunities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Monitor and analyze product performance and operating trends

  •  Oversee business and financial-related activities, including fiscal planning, management, and reporting for specific product scope

  • Analyze internal data to drive insights into customer behaviors and customer personas leading to making data-driven decisions Enhance strategic business partner relationships

  • Implement marketing and product promotion strategies

  • Evaluate market needs, competitive landscape, and customer experience to develop next-generation product improvements

  • Develop revenue enhancement strategies

  • Plan and project manage developing and implementing product improvements and new products through the SBTPG system development life cycle (SDLC)

  • Develop tools and processes to identify and mitigate operational risk,

  • Monitor and maintain vendor relationships.

  • Manage cost-center and budget requirements.

  • Manage production and post-production (problem resolution) system issues with strategic business partners.

  • Manage product development through all phases of the Roadmap process.

  • Develop and manage KPIs that drive accountability.

  • Manage and provide administrative oversight for a team that supports product operations and strategic partner relationships.

  • Provide product leadership at all levels of SBTPG and Green Dot

  • Maintain and promote regulatory compliance, including policy, procedures, training, and accountability.

REQUISITE EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

  • 7+ years of related experience with proven success

  • 2+ years of Management or Supervisor experience. preferred

  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills

  • Demonstrates strong computer skills, especially a strong command of the Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  SQL preferred.

  • Experience with third-party relationship management, legal, operations, and/or finance/banking policies and procedures.

  • High professional integrity, given the daily requirements to handle confidential and proprietary data.

  • Ability to take initiative and execute tasks with minimal direct supervision and day-to-day management. 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with all levels of the corporation including Executive / C-Level.

  • Possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills to understand complex transactions and accounts.

  • Demonstrates strong detail orientation, organizational, and multi-tasking skills; ability to effectively complete multiple projects simultaneously; and management of time and resources to ensure work is completed efficiently and within established timeframes.

  • Demonstrates the ability to work in a team environment; initiative to work and learn independently and proactively contribute to department goals; and ability to lead others while maintaining effective business relationships with associates throughout the organization and externally.

PAY RANGE

The targeted base salary for this position is $119,300 to $182,400 per year. The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.
