The Supply Chain, Transportation & Operations Intern supports end-to-end supply chain execution across inventory management, transportation coordination, order fulfillment, and operational support. This hands-on role provides exposure to logistics execution, transportation management, and customer-facing operations, while partnering closely with warehouse, accounting, and customer service teams to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective product delivery.

This internship is onsite in our Lewisville TX facility and is ideal for students seeking practical experience in supply chain and logistics operations within a fast-paced, real-world environment.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this internship?

  • Support inventory management activities, including receiving inbound shipments, maintaining accurate stock levels, and organizing materials using warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Assist with transportation operations, including inbound and outbound shipment coordination, carrier scheduling, delivery tracking, and on-time performance monitoring
  • Review and maintain transportation documentation such as bills of lading, shipment confirmations, and delivery records
  • Support order fulfillment processes by accurately picking, packing, and shipping customer orders
  • Participate in warehouse audits to validate inventory counts and investigate discrepancies
  • Assist with logistics coordination, including courier pickups, supplier material sourcing, and expedited shipment support
  • Collaborate with accounting teams to review shipment details and submit transportation and material processing invoices
  • Support warehouse organization and material handling to ensure efficient workflows and safe movement of goods
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards, transportation procedures, and proper use of equipment and PPE
  • Gain cross-functional exposure by supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, dispatch, and customer service functions
  • Contribute ideas and insights to improve transportation efficiency, delivery performance, and cost control

What are the requirements needed for this internship?

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program (2nd, 3rd, or 4th year completed) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s candidates will also be considered
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Academic interest in transportation management, logistics, and supply chain operations
  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in fastpaced, operational environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Comfort managing changing priorities and working with minimal supervision
  • Professional demeanor with a positive, solutionoriented mindset
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems, tools, and applications
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and making sound decisions with incomplete information

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • Basic familiarity with transportation concepts, warehouse management systems (WMS), or logistics processes
  • Strong overall computer skills and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
