Accounting Manager – Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate audits (internal and external) and implement recommendations for process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering professional development and high performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements within the accounting function

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP) and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., JDE, HFM, Power BI).
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyze large data sets.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of developing talent.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
