This role is a ‘controlled function’ as defined by the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 Regulations 2011.
1. Accountabilities for your role - what are you expected to do?
- Develops profitable new business account relationships, identifies business opportunities based
on knowledge of clients, markets, products and services.
- Works with existing and build new relationships with technical, referral, gateway partners in the
region to acquire new mid-market merchants.
- You develop and sustain solid relationships with clients (existing & new) that bring in the most
income for the company.
- You address & manage clients blocking points.
- You act as the main point of contact between key clients and internal teams.
- As a sales professional from the payment industry, you will independently acquire mid-market
merchants
- You analyze the needs of your customers and create an end-to-end strategy from contract
negotiation to final activation.

3.Technical Competencies for your role – what are you expected to know
- Experience and knowledge of market/payments industry
- Knowledge of product marketing and organizational operations - Advantageous
- Marketing and business development/sales skills - Essential
- Knowledge of technology and payment gateway providers - Advantageous
- Well-developed understanding of sales methodologies – Training will be provided
- Knowledge of CRM/IT systems e.g. Salesforce, MS 365, Seismic, Co-Pilot – Advantageous
- Good communication skills across a variety of mediums such as telephone, Teams, in person meetings – Essential
- Microsoft Office 365
4. Qualifications Required to perform your Role?
- Minimum 5 years sales experience in the card payments industry
- Mandatory requirement fluency in written and spoken business English
- Know How and network in the B2B - Payment sector
- Completed university studies or evidence of similar qualifications
- Very good rhetorical and analytical skills, as well as confident appearance, strong contacts,
negotiation skills and will to succeed
