Job Description:

SCOPE: The Diagnostic Imaging Assistant supports sonographers, mammographers, and other imaging professionals in delivering diagnostic imaging services to patients. This role involves patient care, equipment maintenance, and administrative duties to ensure the smooth operation of the diagnostic imaging department. The assistant works closely with the medical team to provide high-quality care and support to patients undergoing various imaging procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent required
Graduate of an AMA accredited program in radiologic technology highly preferred

Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly diagnostic imaging highly preferred.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:    
Active ARRT certification in Radiography highly preferred
Active Radiography certification through the LSTRBE highly preferred
Active BLS CPR required

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Strong technical skills and knowledge of diagnostic imaging equipment and procedures.
