Transportation Electrification Consultant (Seattle-Based) 
Location: Seattle, Washington (Remote - local travel within the state required)

ICF is adding staff to its Beneficial Electrification team in the Seattle area to support transportation electrification programs.  
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electric vehicles (EVs), EV supply equipment (EVSE), and/or non-road equipment electrification. This position will play a significant role in the development and implementation of strategic outreach plans, with equity as a priority. Under the direction of the Electrification Portfolio Manager, this position will assist in the recruitment and management of trade allies, including manufacturers, distributors, and installers of existing and emerging electric technologies that replace carbon-based fueled equivalents. The position will also be responsible for supporting key client and customer discussions about the electrification of vehicles and equipment in support of utility programs.

What you will be doing: 

  • Applying strong technical expertise to build local and national connections among diverse stakeholders in the transportation electrification industry, such as with Electric Vehicle Service Providers (EVSPs), fleet managers, vendors, contractors, and vertical markets. 
  • Partnering with local EV workforce development leads to amplify reach, drive participation and accelerate attainment of program goals. 
  • Collaborating with program managers, marketing teams, and subconsultants to create and implement strategic outreach plans.  
  • Generating and engaging utility customer leads on a consistent schedule to drive transportation electrification program participation.  
  • Ensuring smooth, timely communication and integration between ICF and utility program managers and marketing and communication teams.  
  • Providing regular reports on engagement to program managers and marketing teams. 
  • Contributing technical subject matter expertise to trainings, communications, webinars and panels. 
  • Must have a reliable vehicle for local travel. Requirement is around 20% of time. (reimbursement for program eligible mileage provided) 


What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (candidates can substitute one year of experience for each year of education) 
  • 5+ years of professional experience, with a strong preference for backgrounds in electric vehicles, utilities, energy efficiency, Electrification, or commercial and industrial (C&I) sectors 
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check 


What we would like you to have: 

  • Prior experience supporting the implementation of transportation electrification programs, preferably on behalf of a utility or public agency 
  • Previous sales or outreach experience, preferably in commercial or industrial equipment, or related contractor industries • Experience utilizing a CRM such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics 
  • Professional Skills:
  • Demonstrated capabilities in building and maintaining relationships with key market players in the commercial and industrial sectors  
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong outreach and communications abilities  
  • Strong planning, organization, and supervisory skills   
  • Time management skills to handle multiple priorities and flexibility to work limited overtime as needed  
  • Self-motivated, able to manage own time with minimal oversight   
  • Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$74,090.00 - $125,954.00
