KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Installs, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains plant equipment
Provide assistance and support to electricians and electronic technicians
Track work performance, document parts and repair completed through use of computer-based maintenance software
Determine the cause of failures and required repairs
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly PM services according to work orders
Complete assigned work orders
Coordinate maintenance activities with shift leadership, offering recommendations of maintenance options for their decisions
Minimize equipment down time
Use a wide range of mechanical blueprints to perform tear down and rebuilds of manufacturing production equipment and components
Perform rigging and lifting of heavy components/equipment while following all applicable safety requirements
Use precision measuring equipment to perform alignment of pumps, shafts, motors and gearboxes
Ability to use a systematic approach in solving problems through analysis of problem and evealuation of alternative solutions; use logic, mathematics, or other problem-solving tools in data analysis or in generating solutions
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
High School Diploma/GED or minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience.
Minimum of 1 year experience operating heavy machinery or equipment.
Ability to operate forklift and high-lift
Basic fabrication and machining skills
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to wear required PPE (hearing protection, safety glasses, hairnet, uniforms, and steel-toed shoes)
Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays (36/48 weekly shift), as needed.
Preferred:
Previous experience using industry standard tools (pneumatic and electrical)
Previous experience with Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite or Inventory Managing Software
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory duties.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to lift up to 65 lbs.
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
Ability to perform the following: bending, lifting, repetitive motions, walking, and squatting.
