This Sr Director of SW, HCP will be lead of SW for Healthcare Professional products, leading the charge in scaling our engineering team and systems to meet the needs of our expanding user population and partner ecosystem. Where you come in:
You will provide technical leadership and strategic direction for a team of software engineers, creating solutions for Dexcom's expanding CGM ecosystem.
You will develop and optimize engineering systems and processes to ensure efficiency and high-quality output.
You will partner with architecture teams to drive design and implementation of robust software solutions.
You will incorporate cutting-edge tooling, including AI, into the development lifecycle to enhance productivity and innovation.
You will collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (product management, regulatory, quality) to ensure seamless product development and launch.
You will effectively manage expectations and deliverables with customers and partners, maintaining strong working relationships.
What makes you successful:
You are a seasoned leader with a proven track record of successfully managing complex engineering projects with experience developing mobile apps, cloud and API.
Hands-on Engineering Leader with profound expertise across mobile platforms (Android, iOS) and cloud technologies (GCP, AWS, and other leading providers).
You will leverage their proven track record in the medical technology sector and consumer industries, coupled with a deep understanding of critical processes and FDA regulatory guidelines, to drive innovation and quality.
A minimum of 3+ years of medical industry experience delivering Class II or Class III devices performing in a leadership position in the product and technology domain.
Experience interacting with health care providers: doctors, clinics understanding pain points and with delivering solutions to meet customer needs.
A minimum of 10+ years of experience in delivering Mobile applications in a medical or consumer industry as technical (5-7 years) and management leader (5 years).
Experience with hands on coding, knowledge of the following desired: Ruby, Python, C++, HTML, CSS, SQL, Ruby on Rails, Angular, FIHR, HL7. Nice to have Java, Kotlin, Swift, Flutter and Dart.
Ability to do hands on code inspections, review designs and strong architecture background and experience delivering software commercially with quality.
Experience using AI for product development and/or improving code or to get efficiencies.
You will be instrumental in orchestrating and scaling large, high-performing engineering teams, ensuring the successful and efficient delivery of complex products through strategic platform and product methodologies.
You will embody a hands-on, sleeves-up approach, can deeply engage in technical intricacies, and is committed to mentoring and elevating emerging leaders in both technical mastery and effective management principles.
You have extensive experience building and managing software engineering teams, including remote teams across different time zones.
Your proficiency in developing and executing technology strategies, aligning them with business objectives, is evident.
You bring exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, enabling you to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
You possess a deep understanding of product development lifecycles (Agile, Waterfall).
You have experience delivering mobile applications and services. Experience with FDA submissions is a plus.

13+ years of successful leadership experience in a relevant industry
