MUFG is a prestigious international financial institution and we are seeking a Vice President, Trade Client Service, Transaction Banking to join their Hong Kong office. Main Responsibilities: 

As Vice President, Trade Client Service, Transaction Banking, you will be entrusted with overseeing the full spectrum of trade client services across Asia. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve:

  • Partner with Branch Relationship Managers and Transaction Banking Sales teams to provide expert advisory services for trade products, ensuring end-to-end execution and comprehensive transactional support for trade clients with the aim of achieving divisional revenue targets.
  • Oversee the management of Financial Institution limits and trade limit applications or approvals, ensuring all processes are compliant and transactions are processed efficiently.
  • Lead the Trade Client Service team by fostering a collaborative environment that expands business opportunities and deepens client relationships through attentive service delivery.
  • Develop robust connections with customers to strengthen existing business transactions while consistently delivering a high standard of service that enhances client loyalty.
  • Work closely with Transaction Banking Sales Teams and Relationship Managers to identify opportunities for expanding transaction banking products among new and existing customers.
  • Maintain effective stakeholder management by building strong partnerships both within the organisation and externally, ensuring alignment on strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with various departments such as Operations and Corporate Banking to facilitate seamless transaction execution for clients, resolving any issues promptly and effectively.
  • Engage with colleagues in Transaction Banking Product Development to provide valuable feedback, guidance, and solutions tailored to client requirements for optimal execution.
  • Deliver exceptional service standards to both internal and external customers, enhancing the organisation’s reputation while meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
  • Initiate and lead departmental projects aimed at increasing revenue opportunities while maintaining a focus on delivering superior service quality

Requirement: 

  • Degree holder with at least five years of relevant experience in Transaction Banking, demonstrating a thorough understanding of industry practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with bespoke processes and flows unique to individual clients, enabling you to propose effective solutions for standardising end-to-end transaction execution processes.
  • Excellent communication skills paired with strong interpersonal abilities that allow you to influence outcomes positively while building trust-based relationships internally and externally.
  • Proven stakeholder management skills that enable you to collaborate seamlessly across multiple departments within a large financial institution.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Transaction Banking products and services, allowing you to offer insightful advice tailored to diverse client needs.
  • High proficiency in technology applications including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for efficient reporting, analysis, and presentation purposes.
  • Analytical mindset combined with problem-solving capabilities that empower you to address challenges thoughtfully while maintaining operational efficiency.
  • Fluency in English and Cantonese is required while Mandarin would be advantageous
