Who You’ll Work With
This role is a member of Assets Modeling and Analytics Services (AMOAS) process and production team, which is a highly quantitative operations team responsible for executing standard and specialized production processes that operate asset valuation and other models to produce specified content and outputs per individual consumer and/or run specifications.
About The Role
Effectiveness in this role requires a unique blend of knowledge and skills, while providing exposure to virtually all asset classes and asset valuation models, plus all production processes and content requirements as driven by Investments Front Office, Finance, ERM, Treasury, Actuarial, and others.
The roles and responsibilities of this position focus on business management aspects for AMOAS team. This role enables opportunity to develop a broad and deep knowledge of complex asset modeling and analytics processes and services performed, while contributing to success of AMOAS team through roles in various management activities, including project, production, process, controls, issue/problem, model life cycle, vendor/sourcing, and operational risk management.
This role coordinates with all members of AMOAS team and CRBG Investment Analytics teams to ensure CRBG analytics teams meet business objectives and other mandatory requirements, which also requires engagement with other internal teams in roles of suppliers, enablers, and customers/consumers, as well as external vendors.
Responsibilities
Investment Analytics Operations / Production: Develop and maintain production calendar. Work with lead process operators/analysts, suppliers of input data, enabling teams, and customers/clients for modeling production runs, to ensure analytics production meets all business requirements. Support all requirements associated with documentation of processes and controls. Lead efforts to ensure all SOX and audit related requirements are met.
Project Management: Collaborate with key stakeholders across various teams, potentially both internal and external, to develop and maintain project plans. Facilitate project meetings by coordinating on agenda, facilitating discussion, capturing decisions and next steps, and communicating outcomes.
Model Life Cycle Management: Coordinate / facilitate meetings with model owners / developers from Investment Analytics to update model validation plans. Prepare presentation for quarterly Investments Model Risk Committee, and participate in presentation. Maintain all relevant information for model governance.
Participate in continuous process improvements and other enhancements to processes or platforms applied in asset modeling and projections. Coordinate with partners in Operational Risk functions as needed on all relevant requirements. Support all vendor / contract related sourcing requirements and initiatives.
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum B.S. in quantitative field preferred (Finance, Economics, Engineering, Operational Research, etc.). Relevant quantitative Masters or certificate program is bonus.
Some professional experience in project management as engineer, management consultant, or related experience is highly desired.
Must desire working in an operationally and process focused team that leverages applied knowledge of quantitative asset modeling and investment analytics.
Fundamental knowledge of asset modeling and/or fixed income security market risk analytics is a plus
Experience with internal control or monitoring functions, including Internal Audit, Operation Risk Management, Finance Control Unit, ERM, or willingness to interface with.
Ability to work in dynamic and evolving work environment that includes tight deadlines, multiple processes operating simultaneously, plus changing or competing priorities.
Experience working with process systems from either IT or operations experience, particularly process systems used for asset modeling or investment analytics
Enjoys role with broad scope requiring solid foundation across breadth of the scope, versus role as an SME with deep expertise in more narrow discipline
Fundamentals in Statistics / Quantitative Methods (Regression Analysis) is plus
Software/programming, or other Statistical software experience is a plus
PowerBI or similar experience is a plus.
Applied asset valuation and modeling training / experience, or strong desire to learn and grow in this area of expertise.
Process Analysis Techniques or equivalent is a big plus (e.g., Six Sigma, etc.)
Desires or willing to work on earning CFA Charter, FRM Charter, PRM, or similar qualifications is a plus.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $95,000 to $110,000 at the commencement of employment. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered will ultimately be dependent on multiple factors, which may include the candidate’s geographic location, skills, experience and other qualifications. In addition, the position is eligible for a discretionary bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan
