About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity to for a suitably qualified dietitian to lead the co-ordination and support for patients suspected or diagnosed with an eating disorder across the St Vincent's Hospital campus. You will work across several dynamic teams leading our approach to the provision of quality care to our patients and their families/carers. Based in the Nutrition and Dietetic Services Department, you will provide consultation and clinical support to individuals and teams managing eating disorder patients, education and training regarding evidence-based clinical care, development of relevant policies and procedures and co-ordination of care linkages for patients and their families/carers as needed.

You will demonstrate extensive experience in the clinical management of eating disorders and will have expert knowledge related to the requirements of the Statewide Service Plan for Eating Disorders.

Selection Criteria:
1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia

2. Bachelor or post graduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics that provides eligibility for full membership of Dietitians Australia, preferable with APD status

3. Extensive clinical experience and up to date knowledge of multidisciplinary eating disorders practice especially evidence-based service delivery across the service spectrum from primary care to inpatients care with a demonstrated ability to work as an independent clinician in the eating disorders clinical setting

4. Demonstrated capacity for planning, implementing, evaluating, reporting and providing advice in clinical service delivery and redesign

5. Demonstrated ability in providing consultation services within eating disorders and ability to engage and work collaboratively with stakeholders from a range of disciplines

6. Excellent demonstrated communication, interpersonal, documentation and negotiation skills

7. Demonstrated capacity to show initiative, leadership and to think strategically, including high level of organisational skills and ability to work independently in a high demand environment with competing demands

8. Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement activities, including leading, designing, implementing and evaluating services
