Workday’s Marketing Strategy, Analytics, and Planning team is seeking a Marketing Insights Principal to support our pipeline measurement, review, and action motions across Marketing. This individual will work alongside our marketing leadership team, marketing advisory team, and revenue operations team to highlight and understand key business trends, and conduct detailed analysis to extract the drivers behind those trends. This is a high impact role whose work will inform marketing strategies to maximize pipeline and revenue impact. This is a highly cross functional role that will require collaboration and clear and proactive communications. The ideal candidate has business consultation experience, thinks strategically, remains curious, and has a proven ability to effectively communicate with executives and analytics practitioners to move the business forward.
About You
Basic Qualifications:
10+ years experience in B2B sales strategy, marketing analytics, or business operations.
Experience driving and supporting marketing and sales KPIs and preparation of relevant analysis to senior executives to inform decision making.
Preparation of presentations and management documents for the Senior Leadership team, including preparing and presenting at quarterly business reviews
Understanding of B2B revenue drivers
Ability to extract insights from a large dataset and make recommendations to an executive audience
Other Qualifications:
Understanding of B2B marketing metrics, and B2B sales go-to-market models
Ability to assess and monitor pipeline health, identifying key leading indicators, and actions to change course.
Understanding of marketing measurement models
Prior experience developing marketing ROI models preferred
Experience with quantitative analysis and modeling
Ability to translate complex information into easily consumable insights
Understanding of how to align demand plans across the buyer’s journey.
Proven ability to influence at all levels and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong ability to use data to generate insights and recommendations, analyze issues, propose creative solutions, and improve processes
Ability to work independently, take initiative and be proactive in ambiguous situations.
Outstanding communication and presentation skills with the ability to easily and intuitively adapt content to various types of audiences.
Strong verbal and written communications skills; attention to detail and ability to refine communications and content for ideal consumption and action
Familiarity with sales and marketing automation platforms and sales content management systems.
Experienced user of Salesforce, Tableau, and Excel

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
