The Project Manager defines, prepares and leads & executes projects, in line with business needs and project management methods and techniques (including the defined project management framework), to deliver projects according to the agreed objectives. He / she oversees the planning, implementation, and tracking of projects.
The role of Project Manager is not function specific, and can be related to Business Development, Engineering, Operations, IT, Finance, HR or any other area where projects are being defined and executed, where a project has a beginning, an end as well as specified deliverables. Regardless of the function, the Project Manager is responsible for meeting project objectives within quality, time, and budget targets, and for managing any associated risks. The role typically requires strong technical skills, proven project management experience, and an understanding of the business issues. The Project Manager will have in depth knowledge of specific project management systems/tools, either the Nutreco Project Management standard PM processes, methods, templates, tools and techniques, or other recognized PM methods (PMbok, Prince2, etc.) In-depth knowledge of the functional area of the project can be an asset, but does not need to be a requirement; Project management skills though are essential for any level Project Manager. The level of the Project Manager scope, size and complexity of the project(s) managed. For classification in higher levels of Project Manager, factors ‘Project Scope’ and ‘Complexity’ of the projects managed are dominant factors.

What you’ll do
You will lead complex IT projects from preparation to closure, translating business needs into clear project requirements and ensuring alignment with stakeholders across Nutreco. You will build and manage project governance, create detailed plans for scope, timing, budget and resources, and guide both internal and external teams through successful delivery. You will monitor progress, mitigate risks, manage change, and ensure transparent reporting to project owners and steering committees. Projects can span up to two years, operate globally, and involve regular international travel.
