As an Import/Export Control at Micron Memory Japan, you would manage and oversee adherence to Japan Customs including import/Export compliance for Micron and its joint ventures in Japan.
In addition, will monitor and Micron’s customs controls, prepare and manage communications with Japan Customs AEO.
Will also oversee import compliance in Japan, collaborate with regal team and various Micron teams regarding imports.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Coordinate the traffic/logistics team effort to respond to requests from government agencies
Identify issues requiring assistance and provide appropriate guidance or action
Gather logistics entry information and back up documentation
Collaborate with Japan Customs
Monitor and improve Micron’s customs controls
Audit import/export paperwork for accuracy
Maintain internal databases
Identify areas of risk and implement new controls to minimize that risk
Collaborate with Regulatory Compliance Administrator and Regulatory Compliance Manager - Logistics to maintain and improve controls
Monitor changes in Japan Customs import/export regulations
Prepare and manage communications with Japan Customs AEO
Analyze import/export risks
Audit import/export data entry and analyze for errors
Oversee import in Japan
Collaborate with the Finance departments to ensure compliance with consumption tax and Major AEO regulations
Create, monitor, and improve import systems in Japan
Manage global records retention systems for Japan Customs documentation
Collaborate with Other Traffic and Logistics Functions
Conduct audit of import billing with freight accounting
Provide leadership to the logistics team
Train team members on import laws, rules, and regulations
Coach and provide career development
Communicate job expectations and changes
Requirements
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
