Senior Database Developer with EDI

Important Information

Experience:-
3+ years of experience as a SQL Developer.
2+ years of experience with EDI systems and standards.
Proven experience with SQL Server, Oracle, or other relational database management systems (RDBMS).

Responsibilities:-

SQL Development:

  • Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
  • Develop and maintain database structures including tables, views, indexes, and schemas.
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across the database systems.

EDI Management:

  • Manage and support EDI transactions, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and maintain EDI maps for various transaction sets (e.g., 810, 850, 837, 997).
  • Ensure compliance with EDI standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT).

Data Integration and Transformation:

  • Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to integrate EDI data with internal systems.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand and implement data integration requirements.
  • Develop scripts and tools to automate data integration processes.

System Integration and Support:

  • Integrate SQL databases with EDI platforms and other enterprise applications.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for EDI-related issues and SQL database problems.
  • Work closely with IT and business teams to ensure efficient data exchange and system interoperability.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Generate regular and ad-hoc reports to support business needs using SQL and reporting tools.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, discrepancies, and insights to aid decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations for data reporting.

Database Administration:

  • Monitor and optimize database performance.
  • Perform routine database maintenance tasks such as backups, indexing, and data archiving.
  • Ensure database security by implementing and enforcing appropriate access controls.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in SQL programming and database design.
  • Strong knowledge of EDI standards and transaction sets (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT).
  • Experience with data integration and ETL processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Certifications:

  • Relevant SQL certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate) are a plus.
  • EDI-related certifications or training are highly desirable.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the healthcare, retail, or logistics industries.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare data privacy standards (if applicable).
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
