CACI is seeking a Data Analyst to work in support of US Coast Guard’s Ship Design Team/Engineering Directorate at Headquarters in Washington DC. Position is in support of new and ongoing shipbuilding programs across a wide range of Cutters and Small Boats.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and apply methods to identify, collect, process, and analyze large volumes of data to build and enhance products, processes, and systems.

  • Conduct data mining and retrieval, and applies statistical and mathematical analyses to identify trends, solve analytical problems, optimize performance, maintenance, and sustainment, and improve overall processes.

  • Apply programming, statistics, and visualization to glean insights from large and disparate data sources.

  • Knowledge of and skill in the use of Structured Query Language (SQL), Python data science and visualization packages (PyMC3, matplotlib, Bokeh, Sci-Kit, TensorFlow), MatLAB, PHP, Tableau, and similar data integration services and data visualization tools.


Qualifications:

Required: 

  • US citizenship is required.

  • Active DOD Interim Secret or subsequent, active DOD Secret security clearance

  • Minimum of 4 years’ documented experience applying statistical analysis and data mining to apply, learn, and improved understanding of data.

  • Documented experience working with web-based collaboration tools (e.g. SharePoint).

  • Documented experience with Python, R, and/or MATLAB. Documented experience developing detailed/interactive visualizations and exploratory data analysis.  Experience with projects using Machine Learning, statistical methods, and natural language processing. 

  • Due to the requirements of the federal contract that this position supports, U.S. citizenship is required. Citizenship will be confirmed via I-9/E-Verify at the start of employment.

Desired:

  • Active DOD Secret security clearance

  • Documented experience with the marine or defense environment preferred.

  • Experience with Manpower/Staffing Analyses.

  • Master's degree in relevant field such as Operations Research, Data Science, Applied Mathematics/Statistics, Business Management or Human Resources Management CAN BE substituted for 4 years’ experience.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$66,100 - $135,600
