We’re seeking Substation CAD Drafters (Levels 2, 3, and 4) to join our dynamic Houston office on a hybrid schedule. You’ll collaborate with talented engineers, designers, and drafters in a fast-paced environment, using MicroStation and AutoCAD to create high-quality deliverables for major utility clients.

What You’ll Do:

• Work closely with our CAD Lead/Manager and substation design teams to complete drafting and detailing tasks.
• Create and modify Protection & Control, SCADA, Communications, and Physical Electrical drawings—ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Deliver top-quality work products, efficiently and on time, in a collaborative engineering/production setting.
• Adhere to CAD standards and procedures, and help drive project success.

Levels Overview:

• Level 2&3: Tackle routine to medium complexity drafting tasks with growing independence.
• Level 4: Take on medium to high complexity assignments, working independently and demonstrating advanced expertise.

What You Bring:

• Associate of Applied Science in Drafting and Design (or equivalent experience).
• Level 2: 1-3+ years of industry drafting experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Level 3: 3-5+ years of experience.
• Level 4: 5+ years and comprehensive drafting knowledge.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Windows OS, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with document management tools (ProjectWise, FTP, SharePoint).
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

Bonus Skills:

• 3D modeling in MicroStation/AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of VBA, AutoLISP, AutoCAD Electrical, or Bentley Substation.
