Position Summary:

The Business Segment Marketing Consultant will be an integral part of the Employee Benefits B2B Marketing team, supporting Workplace Solutions. The role will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that drive sales growth, enhance client retention, and boost broker/customer engagement. The focus will be on for group insurance, including Stop Loss, ensuring positive customer outcomes and aligning efforts with the overarching business goals.

Position Description:

  • Effectively develops and manages execution of B2B marketing strategies for Employee Benefits and Stop Loss business segments. ensuring that all efforts are aligned with the goals of driving sales growth and client retention.
  • Measures the effectiveness of marketing strategies to ensure they successfully drive desired outcomes.
  • Partners directly with Product team members and other applicable internal Stakeholders to define business objectives and goals and translates these needs into a well-defined and positioned marketing strategy plan.
  • Collaboration with creative development and management teams, CX team, cross-segment marketing, digital and social teams are critical to individual’s success.
  • Responsible for completing creative brief, creating timeline and managing the creative for those marketing assets against the timeline for the assigned campaigns.
  • Expected to serve as a consultative marketing expert with knowledge of group insurance and Stop Loss products and services.
  • Continuously looks for ways to enhance marketing processes and procedures experiences for the team and internal stakeholders.
  • Manages budget as assigned for a campaign/project.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communication, or related discipline. Advanced professional degree a plus.
  • 5+ years relevant experience for B2B and/or B2B2C, preferably group insurance benefits and Stop Loss related marketing strategy positions.
  • Demonstrated success at marketing activities and ability to develop marketing strategies and creative briefs.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including strong ability to present plans and proposals effectively in group and/or 1:1 setting.
  • Demonstrated success in building relationship with executive management teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of group insurance industry, market, and products; experience in all media – print, video, digital and social.
  • Able to use insights in the development of marketing strategy and plans.
  • Capable of leading multi-disciplinary teams. Prior experience working in a cross-functional role in a large corporation a decided plus.
  • Comfort dealing with people across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong presentation, communication and meeting facilitation skills.
  • Good understanding of marketing planning process and activities.
  • The ability to handle multiple priorities and work well under pressure.
  • Balance of good creative instincts with strong strategic capabilities/business acumen.
  • Influencing abilities – polished, presence, able to articulate, preparedness, able to think on one’s feet.
  • Strong work ethic and service mentality.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

$84,260 - $105,320 USD
