Manufacturing Systems Specialist

The Manufacturing Systems Specialist is responsible for ensuring that production and NPI builds are executed efficiently, accurately, and on schedule through effective planning, material coordination, systems setup, and cross-functional communication. This role bridges Operations, Engineering, Software, and Program Management teams to ensure build readiness, material availability, data integrity, and timely shipment execution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 

  • Develop and maintain daily and weekly build plans based on target outputs, material status, and staffing constraints
  • Identify bottlenecks in production flow and implement adjustments to maintain throughput
  • Track material status and drive resolution of shortages impacting planned builds
  • Ensure materials are staged at stations to enable continuous flow and utilization
  • Interface with Supply Chain on procurement, lead times, and replenishment needs
  • Maintain SYSPRO/SFI structures, routings, BOMs, and work instructions to reflect accurate build logic
  • Oversee system transactions to ensure accurate WIP, inventory, and shipment visibility
  • Serve as point of contact for floor support on system errors, training, and process changes
  • Own End-of-line Part Verification and shipment tracking workflows including packaging, documentation, and customer handoff requirements
  • Coordinate cross-functional approvals to ensure on-time delivery to customers
  • Identify gaps in planning, documentation, or system logic and drive improvements across teams
  • Partner with Engineering and Software to enhance manufacturing system functionality

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Experience/Education:

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience working in production planning, manufacturing systems, industrial engineering, or similar function

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 

  • Hands-on experience building routings, BOMs, and structure maintenance in an ERP or MES platform (SYSPRO/SFI strongly preferred)
  • Strong understanding of build planning, WIP flow, inventory control, and shipment processes in a high-mix/mid-volume environment
  • Excellent analytical and systems thinking skills
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally in complex hardware programs
  • Prior manufacturing start-up experience
  • Ability to safely and confidently operate and troubleshoot custom manufacturing and metrology equipment
  • Strong organization skills and a detail-oriented mindset
  • Able to adapt to changing requirements in a fast-paced start-up setting
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator with a passion for tackling challenges as part of a high-performance team

The base pay is just one part of CelLink's total compensation package and is determined within a range. Your base pay range will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

$80,000$95,000 USD
