Team/Role Overview

The Issuer and Investor Services Middle Office Operations team at Citi is seeking a diligent and analytical Fund Accounting Intermediate Analyst. This is an intermediate-level position where you will play a crucial role in a variety of fund valuation activities. The overall objective is to perform detailed analysis, conduct reconciliations, and resolve complex issues in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. What you will do:

• Conduct detailed analysis and reconciliation of transactions, meticulously identifying and investigating discrepancies, and collaborating with front office, custodians, and other internal/external parties to ensure timely resolution.
• Serve as a responsive and knowledgeable point of contact for inquiries from portfolio managers and other operational teams, fostering strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor all work activities to ensure timeliness, accuracy, and strict adherence to established procedures and controls, actively supporting fraud quality control measures.
• Contribute to the team's development by assisting in the creation of training materials, supporting the implementation of procedural changes, and performing in-depth analysis of transactions.
• Appropriately assess risk in all decision-making, demonstrating a commitment to protecting the firm and our clients while ensuring full compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
• Act as a subject matter expert and an escalation point for complex questions and research items from colleagues.

What we will need from you:

• 2-5 years of experience in Fund Accounting, Transaction Services, or a related Middle Office Operations role.
• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and with external partners.
• A foundational understanding of financial instruments and the trade lifecycle.
• Experience with fund accounting platforms (e.g., Multifonds) is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
