Job Title: Senior Finance Data Analyst and Data Product Owner

Work Location: Irving, TX

Current Need:

As a Data Product Owner, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our data analytics initiatives. You will work closely with business leadership and cross-functional teams to define, build, and deploy cutting-edge analytics solutions that drive business outcomes. Your deep understanding of data, business strategy, and product management will ensure that our analytics solutions are aligned with our organizational goals and deliver maximum value.  When needed, you will get hands-on, helping to create analytical solutions and insights that support our business.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with Business Leadership:

  • Partner with executives and business leaders to understand their strategic goals and identify opportunities where data analytics can provide actionable insights and drive decision-making.
  • Communicate complex data concepts in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

2. Define Analytics Solutions:

Translate business requirements into detailed product specifications and user stories. Develop a clear product vision and roadmap for analytics solutions, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy. Prioritize features and enhancements based on business value, feasibility, and stakeholder input.

PowerBI Development

Create visually compelling and interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI, leveraging best practices for data visualization and storytelling. Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights, and provide recommendations to improve business performance. Provide training and support to end-users, empowering them to effectively utilize Power BI tools and make informed decisions based on data.

 3. Product Development and Deployment:

  • Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and other technical teams to design, build, and implement analytics solutions.
  • Ensure that data products are scalable, reliable, and meet high-quality standards.
  • Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of data products, from concept to deployment and continuous improvement.

 4. Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all Finance stakeholders regarding analytics solutions.
  • Facilitate regular updates, demos, and feedback sessions to ensure transparency and alignment.
  • Gather and incorporate feedback from users to continuously enhance the product.

5. Data Governance and Compliance:

  • Ensure that all analytics solutions adhere to data governance policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote best practices for data management, security, and privacy within the organization.

6. Performance Measurement:

  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics for analytics solutions.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of data products to ensure they meet business objectives.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, Data Product Manager, or similar role in the field of data analytics.
  • Strong understanding of data analytics, data engineering, and data science concepts and technologies.
  • Experience with PowerBI, Tableau or other data visualization platforms
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven mindset.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data privacy, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Requirements

  • Finance: Experience working with financial data, conducting financial analysis and utilizing financial software.  Should be familiar with financial reporting standards, financial modeling, budgeting and forecasting
  • Healthcare: Possesses experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large volumes of healthcare data
  • SAP: Adept at extracting and analyzing financial information stored in SAP systems, leveraging tools such as SAP Business Intelligence or SAP Analytics Cloud to generate meaningful insights, support financial reporting, and facilitate data-driven decision-making

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$108,000 - $180,000
