Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Server Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in writing SQL, stored procedures, and ETLs using DB2. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing database solutions, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest performance and reliability of our applications.

Software Requirements:

  • Proficiency in SQL and stored procedures for various databases.
  • Experience with database optimization strategies and query plan analysis.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and tools, specifically using DB2.
  • Knowledge of system analysis, design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of applications.

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain efficient and reliable SQL databases.
  • Write complex SQL queries and stored procedures for different databases.
  • Optimize database performance through effective query plan analysis and optimization strategies.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate database solutions with applications.
  • Conduct system analysis, design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of applications.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database-related issues.
  • Ensure data integrity and security across all databases.
  • Stay updated with emerging database technologies and industry trends.

Category-wise Technical Skills:

  • SQL and Stored Procedures:

    • Proficient in writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
    • Experience with DB2 and other databases.
  • Database Optimization:

    • Knowledge of database optimization strategies.
    • Ability to analyze and optimize query plans for performance improvement.
  • ETL Processes:

    • Hands-on experience in ETL processes and tools, specifically using DB2.
  • System Analysis & Design:

    • Experience in system analysis, design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of applications.

Experience:

  • At least 5+ years of hands-on experience in writing SQL, stored procedures, and ETLs using DB2.
  • Proven track record in database optimization and query plan analysis.
  • Experience in all aspects of system analysis, design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of applications.

Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Conduct regular database performance analysis and optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand application requirements and integrate database solutions.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot database-related issues.
  • Perform system analysis, design, development, maintenance, and enhancement tasks.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with SQL, stored procedures, ETLs, and DB2.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
