The successful candidate will be part of a global SAP CoE team to deliver SAP projects, carry out design, build and test SAP template for the Finance (Record to Report) processes. She/he will work with a team of IT process analysts (Internal / External) with a high level of expertise for all the SAP finance solutions.

The ideal candidate will provide finance and controlling SAP subject matter expertise and be accountable for the business requirements gathering, best application configuration of a global template, and be responsible for ensuring that the solution design meets those business requirements.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • In partnership with Business Process Owners and Business Leadership on finance business requirements gathering and to translate Statement of Requirement into design for SAP Finance
  • Design and Build Solution involving SAP Finance, by recommending the most optimal system and process design. This includes latest functionality of SAP such as  New GL, S/4 HANA Finance
  • Participate in the fit gap analysis during the blueprint phase and during the deployment readiness phases. Translating of business process and master data requirements and functional knowledge into technical requirements
  • Develop functional specifications for system changes, Design high quality solutions to meet the functional requirements. he/she will work closely with the development team to ensure accurate and timely code that matches the designs
  • Perform system configuration and manual set up needed to implement the solution
  • Deliver SAP Finance solutions for complex programs/ projects including all aspects of the SDLC (e.g. Blue Print, Design, Build, Test, documentation)
  • Coordination of test planning and execution to ensure that the solutions being developed are SOX compliant, to follow the project release management guidelines
  • Participate in the creation and on-going review of training materials for initial design and future changes
  • Work with the business process and data teams to support data cleansing and data conversion activities for SAP Solution
  • Partner with non-SAP IT teams to deliver high-quality and robust end-to-end solution integrations in an efficient and timely manner
  • Support the cutover activities and troubleshooting during the launch and the hyper care period.
  • Partner with the SAP COE Operations team to transition completed projects for ongoing support
  • Work with the IT Security function to ensure that all JCI global applications have the required levels of security and protection of JCI’s business information.
  • For current & future initiatives in RTR domain, provide domain specific end-to-end solution architecture, template governance and define Solution design approach for SAP and related application ecosystem.
  • Define finance master data model and integration to support reporting requirements for all finance processes


Required Skills :-

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline with an IT focus. MBA or graduate degree in related discipline with a Business focus preferred.
  • 8-10 years’ experience in SAP ERP system implementation and business support. Must have full life cycle experience in large Global ERP implementations.
  • For SAP programs/projects, elaborate experience in the following processes and related SAP functional areas:- SAP FI-GL, Accounts receivable and payable
  • SAP – CO and all other sub-modules of CO as applicable for manufacturing domain (AP, AR, Assets, Product costing, Product cost controlling, COPA including implementation experience for New GL
  • S/4 HANA Finance Experience (would be an added advantage)
  • SLO and SLT experience (would be an added advantage)
  • Report Painter and Writer
  • Taxation in different regions and countries and knowledge of Country localization across EMEA, APAC, LATAM and North America
  • Monthly and yearly consolidation and close
  • Experience in global deployment(s) of SAP with thorough understanding of procedures around multiple currencies and statutory reporting
  • Extensive experience in business customer-facing IT or other non-IT role related to the Finance function.  Or, previous experience in business process re-engineering or process improvement, involving broad-based information systems, utilizing tools and techniques to effect business change.
  • Experience with integration to Financial Consolidation System outside of SAP (HFM Preferred)
  • Experience working with specialized SAP and third-party modules/add-ons/applications in the RTR space
  • Well-versed with SAP master data set-up and technical components, necessary for successful functioning with complex “standard” and “custom” processes
  • Ability to analyze functional and technical needs and identify gaps and alternative solutions relative to existing design
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-team environment
  • Excellent communication skills required at all levels. Must be able to interact and impact senior leadership. Excellent command of verbal and written communication (English).  Effective presentation style for all levels of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple concurrent deliverables of team/SME, developed internal/external relationship, established cross-team partnership. Experience leading large complex cross-functional programs
