Agropur is seeking a Category Manager – Frozen Ingredients to join its Direct Purchasing team. Functionally aligned with the Frozen category (approx. $50M in annual spend), the Category Manager is responsible for developing and implementing optimized sourcing strategies, managing strategic supply chain projects, and supporting the organization’s performance and profitability through data-driven decision-making.

• Salary range 006: $ 95 900 to $ 119 900 (Salary will be determined based on skills, education, training & experience related to the position).

What’s involved in this role:

• Lead procurement initiatives for the Frozen category in collaboration with Canadian cross-functional teams (operations, marketing, finance, etc.).

• Collect, structure, and analyze data related to purchasing, suppliers, and market conditions to support strategic decision-making.

• Develop and execute sourcing plans aligned with the organization’s needs and strategic priorities.

• Manage RFx processes, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and drafting.

• Propose innovation or optimization projects to improve efficiency and profitability, backed by comprehensive business cases (Total Cost of Ownership).

• Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

• Achieve cost-saving goals while maximizing value through a TCO-based approach.

• Occasionally travel for supplier visits or meetings (valid passport required).

What you need to join our team: 

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Experience: 5–7 years of experience in a procurement department, preferably in the ingredients category.

• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas).

• Familiarity with procurement systems and ERP platforms (an asset).

• Fully bilingual (French and English, spoken and written).

• Strategic thinker with a long-term business vision.

• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.

• Analytical, detail-oriented, and results-driven.

• Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally.

• Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
