What You Will Do:

Guidehouse requires a program manager that is experienced in understanding the overall organizational mission objectives over a prescribed timeline and organizing those into a timeline measured in monthly, weekly and daily increments to achieve mission outcomes.  The person should possess high-level management and leadership skills, demonstrated ability to manage to cost, risk and schedule and an ability to work well in a team environment.  These activities should be sustainable over time to facilitate the accession of talent development and promotion potential to achieve long term organizational success. 

Along with the requisite program management responsibilities, the individual should have experience dealing with other departments; particularly human resources and financial management to ensure the ability to grow the program for growth and success over time.  The individual should also possess the capability to give Senior Leadership a status of the program at any point in time. 

Successful program management will require continual on-site monitoring to make sure project managers and subordinates are meeting their performance objectives.  This will be augmented with frequent engagement with mission partners to assess program status and opportunities for growth.


What You Will Need:

  • An ACTIVE and CURRENT SECRET federal security clearance
    Bachelor Degree
  • TEN (10)+ years or more of progressively more responsible program management responsibilities, preferably in the DoD environment with increased funding, scope and complexity 
  • Direct experience with workforce transformation activities
  • Able to facilitate workshops with Air Force senior leaders
  • Defense Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Certification Requirements as required on program supported or Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Extensive experience working with and within the United States Air Force


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • DoD Program Management experience
  • Additional certifications that are specific to program domain
  • Experience preparing bids and proposals including written and pricing elements sections
  • Excellent oral and written skills
