Position Overview

The Customer Journey Orchestration Engineering team is excited to invite a highly skilled, detail-oriented, and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our innovative team. This role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing our omni-channel customer experience orchestration platform. This platform streams data from other applications and the Autodesk data lake to automate customer journeys and interactions across all lifecycle stages. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work closely with development teams and product managers to build data integrations, manage API orchestration, feature development and ensure platform scalability and maintainability. You will also help uphold platform standards, work on code quality, and contribute to dashboarding and reporting for insights into customer engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop scalable, reliable, and maintainable services, demonstrating deep technical expertise

  • Connect and manage API endpoints across various systems and programs to support seamless data integration

  • Write high-quality, test-driven code that meets company standards and supports platform integrity

  • Automate test cases to streamline the testing process and improve code quality

  • Collaborate within an agile team, following agile delivery practices to ensure rapid, high-quality delivery

  • Build and manage monitoring, alerting, logging, and troubleshooting capabilities to ensure platform reliability

  • Participate in and contribute to code reviews, upholding best practices and quality standards

  • Continuously learn and adopt new tools, technologies, and platforms to enhance platform capabilities

  • Work closely with other engineers and analysts to manage dependencies and drive platform improvements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cognitive Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)

  • 3+ years of software engineering/development experience, with a focus on API orchestration and data integration

  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and CSS

  • Expertise in developing APIs and experience in various AWS technologies (e.g., Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, S3, AWS Glue)

  • Experience with HTML, Contentful, Sendwithus, Marketo, Splunk, and Salesforce (SFDC) is preferred

  • Experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) and Javascript is a plus

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a demonstrated sense of ownership and accountability

  • Agile/Scrum experience is preferred

  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and a willingness to learn new tools and technologies

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $110,300 and $190,300. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
