Job Purpose:

The Finance Hub Risk Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring that risks are appropriately mitigated with a robust control framework, providing adequate oversight of risks and control issues across the markets and finance transactional operations on a regional basis. This role is accountable for assessing processes and control frameworks within the organization, providing proactive risk assurance through risk assessments, and driving risk mitigation initiatives across various business processes to ensure control soundness. The focus of the role is to build a culture of proactive risk management and business partnering to strengthen the control framework, effectively and efficiently mitigating risks.

Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Professional qualifications: CA, CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIA

  • Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in internal or external audit, with global Internal Controls / SOX compliance programs exposure

  • Proven experience working in a multinational organization and/or with international clients on risk assurance projects

  • Strong problem-solving and innovation skills, using digital and data analytics tools

  • Proven experience in senior stakeholder management and influencing skills

  • Ability to challenge the status quo

  • High standards of integrity and work ethics

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead risk management and controls assessment activities and provide oversight of risk management and control activities for a certain region.

  • Review outcomes of controls testing activities and report to management on control effectiveness.

  • Review outcomes of process risk assessments and report to management on major exposures and mitigations.

  • Report on risk assessments (including root cause analyses) and mitigations related to operational issues and support operations teams on remediation activities.

  • Advise senior finance leadership on operational risks across all processes; ensure adequate risk management and root cause analyses are performed for incidents.

  • Manage continuous improvement programs and optimization initiatives to reduce risk and/or improve team efficiency, leveraging technology such as robotics, AI, and other tools.
