Salary: £31,500 pro rata

Hours: 17.00 - 23.00 Monday – Friday. Job shares will be considered.

Your role and responsibilities
We are currently recruiting for a friendly Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our swing shift team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of wards, exemplary client care and high-quality in-patient care throughout the evening at our hospital.
One of the main responsibilities of this role is to conduct Nurse discharges, ensuring that our clients receive the vital information they need to feel comfortable in continuing their pets care once home. In addition to Nurse admissions, settling these patients into the hospital and preparing them for their procedures.
You will work alongside our team of experienced RVNs, Patient Care Assistants and Interns to provide ongoing care to our inpatients. This will include a variety of cases, across multiple disciplines. This is a role perfect for someone who thoroughly enjoys wards nursing and applying their knowledge, some of the cases which you will assist in looking after will be challenging and complex.
The ideal candidate will be an RVN who prefers working out of hours, or who is looking for a role to fit around daytime commitments. You will be enthusiastic, approachable and hardworking. It is of most importance that you are confident and passionate about inpatient and client care.
Essential criteria:
· RVN with the RCVS
· Self-motivated and proactive
· Excellent command of written and spoken English
· Passionate about animal care and welfare
Desirable criteria:
· Experience within working in a Veterinary Referral Hospital, or willing to learn new clinical skills
· Minimum of 2 years experience as an RVN
· Additional Veterinary qualification
