The Perioperative Supply Specialist under the general direction of the Perioperative Logistics Manager in a teamcentered environment provides front line oversight to perioperative supply chain associates. The Perioperative Supply Specialists are responsible for executing the vision and strategies of the supply chain manager while ensuring daily operational effectiveness.
Maintains inventory Integrity by monitoring and balance perpetual inventory supply transactions for completeness and accuracy. Identifies erroneous transactions utilizing Cerner EMR and McKesson Supply Chain management information technology solutions. Executes annual cycle count schedule. Perform
general ledger transactions to correct for inventory growth or shrinkage.
Troubleshoots Supply Chain Breakdowns by acting as team lead for identifying, communicating, and mitigating supply chain breakdowns to include backorders, stock-outs, and logistics. Maintains breakdown log for process improvement initiatives. Leverages vendor relationships to mitigate supply chain disruptions. Offers potential resolutions to clinical and leadership staff in a timely manner.
Displays operational Leadership by acting as team leader for perioperative supply chain daily functions.
Responsible for administering the projects and initiative laid forth by the perioperative logistics manager.
Ensures teams daily functions are completed in a timely manner. Offers guidance where applicable on resolutions to supply chain staff issues.
Provides financial oversight by keeping account and balance the departmental manageable expenses to include office supplies, small equipment budget, service agreements, contract invoices, etc. Manages general ledger transactions associated with inventory adjustments related to shrinkage and bloat, interdepartmental stock issues, and inventory sales.
Performs other duties as assigned
Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
Minimum 3 years healthcare, inventory management or logisitics required
Minimum 5 years healthcare, inventory management or logisitics preferred
Computer competency with Microsoft
Windows and Office
Algebra
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; Perpetual
Inventory Concepts; Cerner EMR; McKesson
Supply Chain Management
