Job Description
Your contribution
In the role of Category Manager, you will be responsible for developing strategies, commercial terms and cost saving initiatives within your categories.
This role also includes project purchasing, which means you will have close collaboration with several R&D departments within the company, in addition to purchasing and project managers.
The company's platforms have a lifespan of around ten years; therefore, it is important as a buyer to understand the suppliers' long-term technical competitiveness.
Travel is included in the job but can be planned in advance.

Category manager responsible for hardware- and software related external activities and commercial terms for all new projects developed by the Handheld R&D, Fixed R&D and Surveillance R&D organization.
Responsible for the cross functional Category Teams with full responsibility for todays and coming supplier base within selected categories and act as escalation interface to the production in Sweden and Estonia. A key part of this role is to support with project sourcing activities within NPI enabling product launches.
