The Regional Sales Manager will be the primary point of contact for portfolio and strategic accounts in their designated territory. The role is responsible for developing and maximizing the sales team potential, creating a highly engaged team and influencing to generate alignment and momentum to execute on strategic goals. The role also requires a high-performing Sales and Accounts Manager with robust skills/competencies in achieving revenue growth targets whilst maximising the effectiveness of strategic account partnerships.
Key responsibilities
Achieve business results (Sales and Market Share by Franchise, Customer and Customer Groups)
Coach and motivate sales staff to drive sales performance;
Develop, implement and maintain account management plans to drive growth strategies for key accounts, as directed both locally and nationally;
Support the team to develop, implement and maintain account management plans to drive growth strategies for key accounts as directed both locally and nationally;
Develop business plans around identified business opportunities;
Develop budgets, and regularly report actual performance to budget, with variances analyses and revised projections;
Monitor and report on the performance of distribution channels;
Review and analyse sales to monitor sales achievements and identify opportunities across specific accounts and territories;
Monitor sales and expense performance and initiate corrective action where necessary.

Demonstrate drive for continual learning in our product range, our competitors products and keeping abreast of current standards of care in the marketplace;
Stay informed and keep the company informed of ConvaTec’s market position and other business Unit opportunities as they arise;

Execute sales and marketing strategies to achieve business results
Consistently take the broader business perspective into account when making decisions;
Negotiate sales agreements within organisational policy guidelines;
Create customer awareness, recommending product types and arranging and participating with product demonstrations;
Provide business to business representation at key local events.
Cultivates Strong Business Relationships
Establish close relationships with external customers and utilises those relationships to strengthen a competitive position and performance;
Establish, develop and maintain ongoing relationships with customers and key opinion
Key requirements
Demonstrated ability to challenge and influence strategic customers for a win-win outcome,
Significant sales and marketing experience and, with a noteworthy list of achievements,
Excellent sales management, motivational and persuasive skills,
Negotiation skills and contract/tender experience,
Proficient in selling skills training,
Excellent organisational and planning skills,
Excellent communication skills – oral, written and presentation,
Able to identify and articulate sales opportunities and risks,
Able to develop and implement account plans and strategies to achieve sales objectives,
Comprehensive knowledge and experience managing key business responsibilities, including budgetary formulation and control,
Demonstrated fluency using sales tools including Customer Relationship gmt programs (CRM’s),
Knowledge of the Australasian healthcare market including developments and trends,
Proficient (Intermediate) in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
