What You Will Do

• Prepare and upload monthly journal entries.
• Standardize journal entry templates.
• Prepare and upload monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and collect supporting documentation.
• Prepare and submit monthly and/or quarterly business surveys.
• Update standard job instructions for the recurring duties.
• Update PowerPoint slide data for various business reviews.
• Perform and contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual tasks and reports.
• Support operation analysts to update, monitor and analyze standard costs.
• Automate and mistake-proof various Finance reporting.
• Perform projects as assigned.
• Assist in audit requests as required.

Qualifications You Must Have

• The student must be at least 18 years of age and currently enrolled as an accounting major in a formal university co-op program for the upcoming 2024 academic year.  
• The student must be working towards completing an undergraduate degree
• Must be committed to the entire term (May – December)
• Raytheon Core Foundation Competencies including Ethics, Integrity, Values and Trust
• Successful candidate must meet all requirements under International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) & Controlled Goods Directorate (CGD) and be eligible to work in Canada. Securing CGD Clearance, as required by Canadian law, may take 1-2 weeks for Canadian citizens and permanent residents and up to 5 months or longer for international students.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience SAP or other large ERP system would also be an asset.
• Pre-requisites to enter the CPA Professional Education Program and have an interest in pursuing a CPA designation.
• PC skills: experience using Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, V-Lookups, etc. is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrates ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
