Monday-Friday, AM Shift

What you bring to SBHG (qualifications):

  • Master's degree in a Mental Health Field plus four years’ experience in a mental health field with at least two years’ experience post licensure.
  • Above experience should be with children or adolescents (preferred) in residential or community-based settings.
  • Licensed as MFT, LCSW, or Psychologist
  • Valid California Driver's License.

How you will make a difference (job overview):

This position has primary responsibility for oversight of mental health services and case management services to children, youth and their families. The Foster Care Services Supervisor supervises Mental Health Specialists providing mental health (including assessment and evaluation), case management, and other services to youth age 12-23 years old and to their families/caregivers. He/She may also provide direct services in addition to managing the foster care programs and acting as the liaison with external agencies and functions on teams with other clinical & support staff.

Division/Program Overview:

  • The outpatient foster care program is community based, provided to Alameda County youth placed within 90 miles of our San Leandro site.
  • Staff offer a range of therapeutic and support services to foster care youth ranging in age from 3 to 21 years.
  • To qualify for services, a youth must be a dependent of Alameda County or have been a foster youth previously, or in a family maintenance type program linked to Alameda County, as well as have active Medi-cal.
  • Services offered are trauma informed and culturally responsive.
