Job Purpose

Act as Reporting Supervisor , responsible for the upstream data integration and system generation process for regulatory reports, the preparation of key periodic comprehensive reports, and the end-to-end coordination and preparation of annual statutory audit and reporting activities. The position ensures the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the company’s financial data in external submissions, audits, and disclosures.

How you will make an impact:

1. Systematic Report Generation and Data Management

  • Execute the system generation, integration, and preliminary validation processes for monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory and management reports, ensuring the accuracy and readiness of underlying data sources.
  • Manage and maintain reporting mappings or tools, and handle exceptions and errors that arise during the system generation process.
  • Serve as a data bridge, providing accurate and timely data foundations for downstream colleagues to perform specialized report processing.

2. Key Periodic Comprehensive Reporting

  • Prepare financial reports under Chinese Accounting Standard, and collaborate in the preparation of US GAAP financials within scheduled timelines.
  • Independently prepare and submit comprehensive regulatory documents such as monthly/quarterly financial analysis reports.

3. End-to-End Responsibility for Annual Audit and Statutory Reporting

  • Act as the internal lead coordinator for the annual audit project, liaising with external auditors, planning audit schedules, and coordinating data preparation and communication meetings.
  • Collect, consolidate, and review the complete set of financial and non-financial materials required for the audit from various internal departments.
  • Lead the preparation of annual statutory reports, including but not limited to: annual financial reports, solvency reports, annual information disclosure reports, and accompanying footnotes, through drafting, reviewing, and finalization.
  • Monitor audit adjustments to ensure they are accurately reflected in the final statutory reports.

4. Process Optimization and Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Continuously review and optimize processes for report generation, data flow, and audit coordination to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate closely with the IT department to participate in resolving systemic data issues related to reporting and to promote the implementation of automation solutions.

5. Compliance & Continuous Improvement

  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and reporting requirements from relevant authorities.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency, accuracy, and automation.
  • Prepare and update SOPs to cover the full operational cycle, encompassing both execution guidelines and corresponding verification steps.
  • Support ad-hoc regulatory surveys, questionnaires, and internal/external audit requests as needed.

6. Participate in AIG corporate AML training, and be obligated to perform AML related duties, including KYC, large/suspicious transaction reports, high-risk customer reports etc.

7. Ad-hoc tasks/projects assigned by managers.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Bachelor Degree or above on accounting related.
  • Intermediate Accountant or above, CPA, ACCA is preferred.
  • Working experience on implementing China Accounting Standards #25 (aka China IFRS17) is a plus.
  • Good professional ethics.
  • Good communication skill, problem solving skill and time management skill.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, esp. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, PowerBI.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and willing to initiate.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good oral and written English.
  • Willingness to learn and improve.
