Join our team of caregivers at Tradition Surgery Center who provide top-quality patient care to the communities in and around Port St. Lucie.  This state-of-the-art facility is a multi-specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center that has two Operating Rooms and two Procedure Rooms which focus on the following surgical specialties: gastroenterology, general surgery, gynecology, pain management, podiatry, and urology.  Tradition Surgery Center treats common and complex conditions and offers minimally invasive methods, including robotic-assisted surgery and laparoscopic surgery. 

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Tradition Surgery Center’s pre- and post-operative department, you will provide professional nursing care to patients in an ambulatory surgical care setting.  An RN in this role should be familiar with completing nursing assessments, performing telephone triage, establishing care plans, and administering medications and treatments.   This role plays an integral part in ensuring patient advocacy, safety, and education.  On this nursing team, you will feel supported and appreciated for the knowledge you have to share and have access to our advanced technology and research to ensure all patients receive world-class care. 

The hours of this per diem position are 8-hour shifts with variable start times with flexibility to adjust hours as needed.  No weekend or on-call shifts are required

Required qualifications for the ideal candidate include:

  • A MINIMUM OF ONE YEAR OF RN EXPERIENCE IN A HOSPITAL OR AMBULATORY CENTER IS REQUIRED.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
  • Flexibility is very important in the team environment.  
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Provides care with empathy and compassion.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing. BSN preferred.
  • Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) must be presented upon hire.
