Associate, Business Intelligence

Job Description:

 

As an Associate in the Enterprise Business Solutions (EBS) team, assist the head of Data Management and Analytics in developing analytic work products, statistical modeling, data cleansing, automations, and governing master data integrity. The Associate performs data analytics with an emphasis on data visualization, reporting, and synthesizing to ensure that business intelligence is leveraged for decision-making and data quality is maintained and enhanced across disparate data sources.
 

Responsibilities

  • Develop an understanding of the business, key metrics / KPIs and providing clear, compelling analysis that shapes the direction of our business.
  • Use data wrangling, shaping, and analysis tools to build dashboards and data visualizations, including creating, editing, automating, and maintaining content.
  • Perform requirement analysis and support end-user data product development. 
  • Ensure quality of master data in core systems while developing and documenting processes with other functional data owners to support ongoing maintenance, data integrity, and data security.
  • Work with data analytics staff in identifying and cleansing data.
  • Develop and maintain audit / integrity reports for monitoring master data across multiple systems.
  • Identify and ensure the resolution of data quality issues, such as uniqueness, integrity, accuracy, consistency, and completeness, in a repeatable, cost-effective, and timely manner.
  • Analyze data stores, generate data quality statistics and communicate the results to the appropriate application owners.
  • Assist in remediation and strategy to improve data quality with application owners as necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with analytics, architecture and data engineering professionals, including the EBS team, IT, and operations staff internally, as well as with external vendors.
     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in information science, data management, computer science, mathematics, or related field.
  • Coding skills, preferably in SQL and Python, especially Pandas.
  • Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
  • Experience with or exposure to Microsoft Azure data factory, Power BI analytics software or similar, such as AWS S3, Alteryx, and Tableau.
  • Ability to collaborate with clients, team members, external data providers, and management.
  • Effective communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and resourceful with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong business acumen, sense of curiosity, and a life-long learner.
