Provo City is hiring seasonal workers to perform guest service roles in the Timpanogos Golf Clubhouse.

Established in 1923, Timpanogos Golf Club is the premier public golf course in the State of Utah. As part of the Provo Parks and Recreation Department, Timpanogos Golf Club is honored to be part of one of a handful of premier Parks and Recreation Departments in the United States. Timpanogos Golf Club is hiring seasonal Golf Clubhouse Operations workers to perform general maintenance duties around the course and clubhouse. Job Details

What is the compensation?

Pay Rate:  $8.50 - $15.00 per hour, depending upon skill level and experience. Payment will be by direct deposit.

What will I do? 

  • Open and close the golf course.

  • Provide friendly customer service.

  • Manage tee sheets.

  • Assist in golf merchandising and inventory.

  • Prepare and record nightly deposits.

  • Assist head and assistant professionals in daily tasks.

  • Clean golf carts, pick-up driving range balls, and upkeep and maintain the clubhouse.

  • Assist with tournaments, outings, and events.

  • Assist other crew members as needed/directed.

  • Perform other related work as required.

 

What do I need to apply?

  • Any training or experience that demonstrates an ability to perform the duties of the position.

  • Physical strength and agility to perform the work.

  • Valid, lawful driver license may be required at the time of appointment.

 

What are the hours and duration?

This is a part-time seasonal position for a fixed term from approximately February 20 – December 6, 2025. Actual schedule will vary throughout the season, including weekends and holidays, and will be coordinated with supervisor.

What are the physical and environmental factors?

This position requires working indoors and outside in all weather conditions including rain, sun, and varying temperatures. This position may also require using equipment, bending, reaching, stooping, climbing, and lifting items up to 50 lbs. May require writing or typing and extended time at a computer terminal. This position will regularly interact with members of the public and may require interaction with the public in tense or hostile situations.

What is the selection process?

This is an open file posting. Applications will be reviewed in the order they are submitted for any positions available at that time. They will remain on file for a minimum of 60 days. Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications listed above to be eligible for consideration.

If selected for hire, candidate will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal. Applicants with unsatisfactory drug screen results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of six (6) months.
