A Brief Overview
The Fulfillment Center Lead is responsible for supporting the DC Operations Manager and DC Operations Supervisor with all assigned tasks within the department. The Lead will provide line management to the team, oversee training and coordinate workflow and provide support to meet department production goals in a safe and efficient manner. Lead will also provide front-line direction when DC Operations Manager and DC Operations Supervisor is out of the building.

What you will do
Provides guidance, support and direction regarding operational practices and procedures, equipment operation, glass-handling methods, and safety procedures in order to achieve performance goals and helps monitor staff in following standard operating procedures (SOP’s)

Organizes and directs the workflow within the department (ex: assigning picks, moving associates to new tasks)

Responsible for onboarding and training of associates on a variety of position-related processes, procedures, and tasks to ensure all can fully understand and complete job tasks and responsibilities

Monitors equipment or processes and communicates problems to Supervisor; Encourages and monitors warehouse cleanliness and housekeeping initiatives on a daily basis

Safety

Identifies the safety risks and hazards with each task that is completed and mitigate and/or eliminate the risks or hazards to ensure safe working conditions

Personally exhibits safe working behaviors to the safety standards that have been established

Follows all injury reporting and investigation procedures in the event of an accident

Ensures the team safely operates material handling equipment, has appropriate training, follows safety procedures and maintains proper housekeeping

Performs duties of inbound and outbound orders to achieve departmental goals as needed
Performs other duties as assigned

Complies with all policies and standards

Education Qualifications
High School Required

Experience Qualifications
less than 1 year leadership or supervisor experience Preferred

1-3 years supply chain operations experience Required

Skills and Abilities
Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions in warehouse and dock areas (seasonal heat and cold in environment that is not air conditioned), and repeatedly lift up to 35lbs and occasionally lift up to 50lbs

To safely operate the order picker and comply with equipment manufacturer specifications and required safety regulations, there is a weight limit set at 300 pounds. If you are hired to operate this equipment, you will need to weigh under 300lbs.

Must be able to operate Material Handling equipment (order picker, reach truck and forklift)

Ability to satisfy all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements as outlined in the Field Supplemental Handbook (High proficiency)

Ability to make informed decisions, problem solve, multi-task and maintain flexibility and follow through as required.

Experience with WMS systems and mobile RF technology.

Familiar with LTL and small package shipping protocol.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills (High proficiency)
