This role is a high impact leadership opportunity at the center of cash management and back-office treasury operations, responsible for reconciling cash movement, optimizing cash for operations, and driving financial efficiency across the enterprise. You’ll lead strategic initiatives that influence daily operations while partnering with senior leaders on critical financial decisions. In addition to strong financial acumen and people leadership, this role plays a pivotal part in driving transformation—advancing next generation capabilities, modernizing processes, and eliminating manual work to increase accuracy, speed, and scale. By championing innovation and developing high performing teams, this role directly supports Walmart’s ability to operate efficiently and evolve for the future.
About the Team
The team partners closely with finance, operations, banking partners, and in-country cash operations teams to ensure Walmart’s cash strategies support business growth and risk mitigation. The group operates in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment where data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement are essential. This role plays a key leadership position within the team, setting strategy, developing talent, and ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide initiatives. Together, the team helps identify and resolve exceptions while driving cost efficiency and operational excellence across stores and clubs.
What you'll do...
- Lead the execution of multiple cash management and back office treasury initiatives by setting priorities, removing obstacles, measuring performance, and adapting plans as business needs evolve.
- Direct cash expense processes by analyzing trends, managing variances, and communicating insights to senior leadership.
- Ensure timely and accurate store ticket support by collaborating with partner teams to maintain up‑to‑date knowledge articles and document all process changes.
- Drive alignment of global cash‑management practices by actively shaping enterprise initiatives, evaluating emerging industry best practices, and influencing the adoption of next‑generation ways of working across all markets.
- Develop and communicate enterprise cash strategies that support company initiatives, mitigate risk, and align store and club cash operations with best practices.
- Provide financial insights and executive-ready materials to senior management for decision-making, industry presentations, and payment acceptance strategies.
- Lead, coach, and develop associates by establishing clear expectations, providing regular feedback, recognizing performance, and fostering a culture of belonging and continuous learning.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience leading complex financial, treasury, or cash management operations within a large, matrixed organization.
- Strong expertise in cash process management, risk and loss mitigation, and trend analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders through clear, data-driven insights and executive-level presentations.
- Experience in leading in-store front-end processes with extensive knowledge in researching cash losses.
- A track record of building and developing high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring, and talent development.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively across finance, operations, and technology teams.
- A leadership approach grounded in integrity, accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...
