Job Summary:
The Senior Regional Engineer plays a key role in delivering comprehensive datacenter solutions, ensuring the successful execution of technical projects while effectively communicating progress against documented plans. This includes expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, and Microsoft-based technologies to support a wide range of enterprise IT infrastructure needs. As a subject matter expert, this individual will provide advanced technical expertise within their area of specialization and may be responsible for setting the technical direction during the sales cycle and supporting solution design across multiple locations. This role involves delivering Advanced Services both remotely (via WebEx or similar platforms) and on-site as required. The Senior Regional Engineer will collaborate closely with Account Managers, Inside Sales Engineers (ISEs), Engagement Architects (EAs), Project Managers (PMs), and Solution Architects (SAs) to provide seamless service delivery. Given the dynamic nature of this role, strong time management and prioritization skills are essential to handle multiple client engagements simultaneously. Additionally, the Senior Regional Engineer will be responsible for handling ad hoc technical services for smaller projects, as well as stepping in to assist customers during critical situations, including outages, cybersecurity incidents, and other priority issues. This position reports directly to the VP of Engineering for the region.
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
5 - 7 years of experience in Microsoft technologies including infrastructure migrations, upgrades, troubleshooting, implementation with experience in at least three of the following areas:
Minimum of 5 years of consulting experience focused on Microsoft solutions
Associate degree from an accredited university required
Minimum of 1 Expert level Microsoft certification within technology discipline area
Minimum of 5 years’ experience working for an IT consulting organization
Previous experience delivering Microsoft technology solutions
Experience in building and delivering Professional Services
Oral, written communication and presentation skills with an ability to present technical issues to a technical audience
Strong work experience with online productivity tools
Highly organized, detail-oriented, excellent time management skills and able to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume, and evolving work environment
Ability to approach customer and sales requests with a proactive and consultative manner; listen and understand user requests and needs and effectively deliver
Comfortable managing multiple and changing priorities, and meeting deadlines in an entrepreneurial environment
Motivated self-starter who loves to troubleshoot and solve challenging problems and feels comfortable working directly with customers
