As a Fleet Mechanic you are responsible for:

• Conduct pre-inspections on all equipment to ensure road readiness

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain trucks and trailers (primarily end-dump)

• Perform light maintenance and repairs on yard equipment

• Utilize diagnostic tools to troubleshoot mechanical issues

• Perform welding and metal fabrication (MIG welding preferred)

• Maintain accurate records and complete work orders in a timely manner

• Perform preventive maintenance in compliance with DOT standards

• Collaborate with the Transportation Department to meet fleet demands

Schedule:

• The schedule for the Fleet Mechanic will be Monday through Friday from 7 am to 4 pm.

Experience Preferred:

• Previous experience with trailer repair and maintenance strongly preferred

• MIG welding experience required

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

• Familiarity with DOT standards and preventive maintenance procedures
