Maintenance Operative

Eaton Green- Luton

Full Time Permanent

Salary £31,500 per annum, to include company van, fuel card, PPE, uniform etc

Hours: 42.5 per week  

We are the largest provider of repairs and maintenance, and regeneration services across the UK. Mears provide tailored rapid-response and planned maintenance services through partnering arrangements with more than 70 local authorities, Arm’s Length Management Organisations and Housing Associations.

As a Maintenance Operative you will be working a in our social housing background, providing a stable and profitable contract, delivering excellent service and support through our local teams, who understand the importance of working together for the local community.

A Maintenance Operative will Part of a local team undertaking high standard Maintenance repairs and refurbishment activities to Housing properties, delivering best in class customer service and satisfying all safety, quality and cost control standards.

About the Role:

  • Responsible for carrying out reactive repairs internally on occupied properties.
  • Carrying like for like repairs- works include but not limited to changing door handles window handles, toilet seats, taps, fixing kitchen cupboard doors.

You must have:

  • Worked within a similar position.
  • Knowledge in Plumbing, Carpentry & Painting & Decorating
  • Confident on using tools
  • Worked within Social housing
  • Good written & Verbal communication
  • UK full driving license
