What you will do?

Under direct supervision by Plant Manager, the person in this position develops implements and administers production requirements to satisfy customer’s demand and objectives set for by Johnson Controls.

How you will do it?

  • Coordinate with all support department managers the short term requirements to achieve a safe environment and high customer service satisfaction.

  • Determine the head count requirements in all work stations and assembly lines to maintain a high level of efficiency Supervises Production Managers assigned to each factory.

  • Supervises Maintenance Coordinators assigned to each factory.

  • Establishes and tracks annual production department budget, controlling the most important expenses.

  • Authorizes and controls the purchasing process for high cost tools and spare parts.

  • Support all cost improvement initiatives within the production and maintenance departments.

  • Responsible to implement, with the support from the HR department, the High Performance Work Teams strategy.

  • Supervises daily production control meetings.

  • Ensure that all the safety, quality, manufacturing and human development systems operate in an efficient and timely manner.

  • Make sure that all the system certifications and audits are attained.

What are we looking for?

  • Engineering degree, preferably in the Mechanical or Industrial engineering area, Master degree in related fields is highly desirable.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the area of production, manufacturing and maintenance is required, needs to be computer literate and proficient in the use and application of Office programs.

  • The position requires some domestic and international travel.

  • This manager needs to have a strong customer service attitude and excellent interpersonal skills.

  • High proficiency with the English language is also required.
