What you will be doing:
The Senior Financial Analyst supports the forecasting and budgeting of the Company by compiling, entering, and analyzing financial data, preparing financial statements, identifying trends, and recommending actions to address opportunities. The Senior Financial Analyst works closely with assigned business areas to gather the necessary information in order to provide variance analysis, and enter revenue, expense, capital, and headcount forecast updates into the system.
Additionally, this role will support the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis with ad-hoc projects related to financial modeling, data compiling, and preparing presentation materials. This includes analysis and commentary regarding quarterly earnings packages and the annual budget process.
Key Responsibilities
Forecast and Budget – 70%
Responsible for the monthly forecasting process for specific business units, including methodology, schedule & communication.
Analyze and update Revenue, Expense and Capital forecasting methodology and recommend best practices.
Review and analyze monthly results compared to forecast, provide insight into driving factors.
Provide forecast data and communicate with key stakeholders as necessary.
Update and maintain complex models for revenue and expense forecasting.
Develop forecasting models for new projects or areas of focus.
Manage budget iterations and work with key stakeholders to adjust projections, as needed.
Business Unit Support and Other Activities– 30%
Provide strategic support to business unit leaders to enable decision making, including communication and discussion on financial performance through ad hoc analysis and accurate forecasts/budgets.
Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency.
Assist with special projects as needed.
Required Qualifications
Work Experience:
Years of Applicable Experience - 4 or more yearsEducation:
Bachelors (Required)

Skills:
Solid understanding of financial statements, concepts, and modeling with the ability to grasp business strategies, understand and forecast revenue, expenses, capital, and headcount.
Strong analytical capabilities to identify trends and recommend actions.
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and willingness to shift priorities and excel in time management.
Strong communication skills and ability to convey details to upper management in a clear and concise manner.
Experience:
3 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required. 5 years is preferred.

Masters
