Operations Manager
SCOPE OF THE ROLE:
The position reports to the Director Group Planning & Logistics and plays a key role in the smooth business functioning of the French organization. As a key person of the Supply Chain team, this role plays an important role in the success of the French team towards meeting and delivering their targets.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the end to end process for supply planning, third party logistics and local S&OP cycles for our French market.
This role will be based in Paris and is a hybrid role with three days a week in the office.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- You will coordinate with sales, production and planning to ensure supply of goods at the right time in the right quantity
- You will be the interface between Sales, Finance and Manufacturing Teams to ensure compliance with country appointments, taking into account internal processes and requirements
- You are the first point of contact for our logistics and warehouse provider and our co-manufacturer or production sites
- You will be the point of contact of our customers for operational discussions and negotiations
- You will be responsible for leading and negotiating with local supply chain suppliers and will manage relationships with various service providers (logistics, warehousing, co-packaging )
- You also have the responsibility to lead and coach a Distribution Requirement Planner (1 person)
PROFILE:
- 7+ years experience working across logistics
3+ years in managing & developing a team
Strong project management experience
FMCG background preference for food / beverage
Must have experience in the French market
Strong communicator (both verbal and written). You are used to connecting stakeholders across an organisation with a structured approach to all commercial tasks and initiatives
Excellent presentation skills
Ownership mentality and acts with a “my business” mindset
Understands the importance of strong cross-functional collaboration and high emotional intelligence
Resilient & self motivated to see projects through to completion and doesn’t take no for an answer
Strong focus on integrity - "do what you say, say what you do"
Demonstrates a sense of urgency yet remains calm under pressure
- French (native speaker level) and fluency in English (C1) are hard requirements
